People are making fun of this and other CGs from early visual novels, but I think it points to the fact that VNs have always been underfunded + created not by “established career devs” but by up-and-coming artists and writers who did their best and connected with players’ hearts.

The Godot community needs to kill the custom resources as savegames thing. All the big tutorial makers back in the day found out about it at the same time, and within a single week, stopped recommending it because it was actually awkward **and** has security issues.
