@RitzPlays Im sorry people have treated you like that, that’s really rude. This seems like a very specific situation, and to that i would suggest cutting them off and moving on, because whoever said that is not only wrong, but an asshole. Theres plenty of potential friends out there.

For me, being Autistic means being friendly with a lot of people, but not having a close/reliable circle. Being unable to read social cues makes this 100x harder & often results in me giving up on reaching out after silence and waiting endlessly to be formally invited.

@RitzPlays try this book “Emotional Intelligence: A Complete Guide to Master Social Skills, Improve Your Relationships, Controlling Your Emotions and Raise Your EQ” i personally havent read it but ive had friends and coworkers read it who have said it really helped their social awkwardness

@RitzPlays timing and reading social cues are also extremely important for relationship building. You gotta know when to be open, when to be honest, when to be vulnerable, when to shut up, when to listen, and understand what is and isn’t appropriate to do or say at any given time.
