Karmanghat Hanuman temple is one of the oldest in Hyderabad, built around 11th century.
It's believed that when Aurangzeb tried to destroy this temple during his invasion of Golkonda, a divine voice warned him
"Agar mandir thodna hai, to Kar Man Ghaat"
"If you want to break the temple, make your heart so hard of stone" something like that.
Apparently that is how this place got it's name.
The temple was built by a Kakatiya king Prola II, who rested here while hunting, and then found the Hanuman deity.
It's believed that Hanuman came to him in a dream, and asked him to build the temple here.
