Beagle-hound rescued by my mom in 2017. Never had a real bed before, but now I have all of them. Lover of treats, taker of naps, unmaker of beds, epic snorer.

@MRelerfordNBC don’t let anyone pressure you into taking down your tree. Just tell them you do this “properly” 😁😇😂

@keith_pete One time, we got to the opposite side of Audubon Park from where my mama parked and I just laid down in the path and refused to walk any further. Mama had to carry me back to the car. 🤭🐾💙

We ran into Mason's owner this morning - she was walking alone, which is unusual. She said Mason passed away yesterday 💔. We gave her a big hug. We'll miss seeing him 😢 🐾

I met up with Mason at the lake...we've known each other for awhile, but we're never sure if we like one another 😂

Pupdate from me mum:
Not the best of news to give but we’ll start with a positive. The tumour on Jaspers heart is stable and hasn’t grown.
The more difficult news is that because he hasn’t been very well lately they have said that it means he is no longer able to tolerate the chemotherapy tablets and the only option really now is to stop them. What we don’t know is what impact that will have on the tumour and how quickly it may grow. He has some very unsettling blood / protein / blood pressure test results meaning that we have to concentrate on fixing those urgently so stopping the chemo, whilst a difficult decision is the right decision.
We know Jasper is an absolute super dog and we know he will continue his bravest battle with these illnesses.
Thank you for all your kind wishes, they mean the world. ❤️
Jasper - Can me has some sossiges now mum? 😋
Mum - Yes my darling boy of course you can ❤️❤️❤️

Today we are saying goodbye to my heart. Ruby is her name. She’s 14.5 yrs old and has kidney failure. She’s been our heart and soul what a difficult time this is going to be. We’re heartbroken. She’s been with us on many adventures. But she’s telling us now she’s in pain and it’s time. I just can’t describe how we are feeling at the moment
Fly high my darling Ruby remember we will always love u and you’ll be in our hearts and minds forever

Our life is so sad. We adopted two gorgeous puppies 14 years ago from the same litter. They have never been apart and they were so bonded.
2 weeks ago our little girl Roz (she's the smaller one in the pictures) was fine on Saturday. By 7 am Sunday morning I had her at emergency. 4 hours later she was gone. Cancer and bloating. This was 9 weeks after her cancer surgery that she absolutely rebounded from and was her normal self with a 90% survival rate. Well, not for her. She ended up in the 10% and the cancer came back fast and harsh. I truly thought she was in the 90% and was totally caught off guard. When they wheeled her into the rainbow room she was so happy to see me after 3 hours of tests and X-rays that I insisted on to make sure I was doing the right thing. She thought she was going home and tried to get up. My heart shattered at that moment. I stayed with her, held her little head and told her we were going home and what a good girl she was until she slipped away. It was awful.
After leaving I got home and her brother was on the couch and jumped up to see me. He was happy I was home but looked for his sister.
It took him 2 days to realize she wasn't coming home... on the Tuesday he was on the porch barking and went to get his sister to bark with him. That was their thing. It was then he realized she was gone, it was heartbreaking. He just layed down when she didn't join him and that was it. I'm grieving her so bad, but I have to do it in a separate room away from him and then come out and pretend everything is ok for him. Unfortunately he is grieving terribly. Our hearts are broken with her loss and watching him give up on life is making it especially difficult. The last picture is him, our Bill laying there lonely without his life partner waiting for her to join him, even though she won't.
I cry hard daily for her and yet try to be brave for him. Watching him grieving is making matters worse. Our fear is losing him next due to grief. I just can't breath most days. This site has made it a bit easier reading all your stories and knowing I'm not alone.

Our Ikaika crossed over the 🌈 bridge on 7/18/23. We had a vet appointment at noon and I prayed all night that he'd go on his own at home on his bed and at 10:30am, he did. 💔😭🐾 Nothing is the same. Everything is different. 😔 All we do is cry. We are lost. I expect him to follow me into the kitchen when I'm cooking and to do laundry. He was my shadow. My husband is devastated. He actually went for a walk around the block yesterday and took Ikaika's leash. 🥺 The neighbors asked for him and they were all crying. He was such a good boy and is terribly missed. 10 years wasn't long enough. Run free Ikaika and look for Nana, she'll give you snacks. And say hi to Willow for us. Till we meet again buddy. xoxo 💙
PS: He had melanoma, pancreatitis and lymph nodes issues. Vet gave us antibiotics and pain meds the week before. He never complained or cried but we knew he was in pain. He took his last breath with his Daddy holding his face at home with hs familia. 🥺❤️
