Today we discussed a focus group on the Daily T and it concluded that voters are right-wing culturally, left-wing economically. As they have been since I can remember. Yet we head into another election with no one having the sense to offer just that. Such a strange country.

The biggest lie told to young people in Britain is "go to university, work hard, save up, and you'll own a home." Lots of us have "done everything right", and yet still found the ladder pulled up in front of us. Student debt, rocketing housing prices, stagnant wages. Yeah it's no wonder so many under-35s are apathetic.

Why am I standing in Hillingdon East in the upcoming local elections? I never wanted to get involved in politics; i'm not a huge fan of self-serving Politicians! However, if you feel strongly about something, you have to do something about it. If you want change in your community you have to fight for it. The standard you walk past is the standard you accept.
