I was at Stamford Bridge when #SWFC drew 2-2 with Chelsea, who at the time had a prime Gianfranco Zola. Mark Pembridge scored for us and Dejan Stefanovic got a last minute equaliser. To suggest that Pembridge even gets close to Bannan is just a mental illness.

@London_Calling_ Just googled Bannan’s goals and assists since season 20/21. In those 6 seasons 2 were in L1. Goals = 27 Assists = 35. Thats an average of 4.5 goals and 5.8 assists per season. Now he is older I dont see him bettering what is a low return.

Quickly mate, Google #SWFC central midfielders and try to explain why 20 of them are better than Bannan. I am a Wednesday fan who isn't a complete moron and has been a fan longer than you, so I know it's impossible.

@DanBramley88 @Jowl30 @Bradshaw4444 @London_Calling_ Since 1993. Bannan is not even in my top 20. His no show in big games is the tester for me. Not only derby games but play offs too. Cant knock his loyalty but at his age we no longer need him. Our new mid-field needs to evolve and develop. Bannan wont fit that plan.

Barry Bannan just assisted an away goal for a club that are competing for automatic promotion to the Premier League, but yeah, fuck having him in a League 1 team next season. What a step backwards that would be #SWFC

You are probably a nice bloke, but this isn't the hill to die on. #SWFC are absolutely shite and Bannan coming back for a season in League 1 wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Which was my point from the beginning.
