Virtua Fighter has always had better movement. The real reason that Tekken players won’t dedicate themselves to vf is because vf punishes the movement that Tekken is based from. For example KBD would get punished just by a neutral mid kick for big stagger guaranteed damage.

I get the push to try to get Tekken players to try other 3D fighting games. I love DOA and VF, but it's worth understanding why people enjoy playing Tekken. The characters and world are factors to people, amongst other things, but the big one for me is the movement. Other 3D fighting games are primarily designed around guard buttons that anchor your movement if you want to defend. Tekken allows you to freely express your defence with the way you pilot your movement, and there's nothing really like it.

@NanceDemetrius Basically movement is always a commitment in VF and players accustomed to Tekken aren't living it.

@NoctVii Characters shouldn’t have panic moves, this is a change for the better, yall want defensive patches but when evasive broken moves like this get nerfed for your character you start complaining

@Kideu98 @thisisjouel at -9 in BT she's effectively -14 (fastest option to beat punishes is BT2) so you can disregard the BT transition and your punishment for regular df4,4 will work the same way

@B0T_7693 @thisisjouel in terms of punishment you can literally assume nothing changed at all, on hit SSR can evade bt1,4 and bt2 but test your character

@JANPAi_ isn't that just a distance issue? homing means there's a hitbox to the sides but doesn't mean the move itself will realign. u1+2 is similarly "broken" where if you sidestep the charge part the homing property is effectively null

@JANPAi_ It's quite simple to explain - f1+2 has better ob BT frames as a quick mid than her 1,1 jab string. At -3 BT1,4 (HE) frametraps i12 moves which normally would beat most of her options and only trade with BT1,4.

I wish im nerd enough to explain why I feel this move strong, its only -3 and you can't even tell she's going BT, the transitions looks smooth as fuck 😭😭 its a linear move but there's already existing frame traps from qcf3+4 / wr1+2

@Ruenaan @nkt_dreamer @mykeryu pretty sure Overflow made alt heat burst mods that keep the other character visible so it's not impossible. I would say it's unlikely but we got a very surprising amount of photomode updates so it's on the table tbh

@Kaneandtrench it's not tracking, it's realignment, almost every move in the game will behave like that when you're sidewalking and someone starts a move when you're already in the walking stage
