@rangerdcast @MathewGroom I’m amazed that Christmas cake isn’t a thing everywhere!? In the UK it’s a traditional thing. Some people make them up to three months in advance and feed it alcohol regularly before icing it

I used to get these, bounce them for maybe an hour. Then, the rescue dissection would begin. I can still remember the texture and picking the remaining bits off the figure. 🥹 they were so teeny

@DidymusBrush Series 2 gets a huge boost from School Reunion, the Cybermen 2 parter, Satan pit and the Dalek/cybermen hype. But the other half of it? All middling to poor

Except the latter didn't have a Impossible Planet/Satan Pit to lift it higher.

People have rose tinted spectacles about the 2005-2010 era of Doctor Who but last night as part of my long slow marathon I watched LOVE & MONSTERS and FEAR HER back to back and frankly that is proof if proof were needed it was one hell of a patchy era for quality and tone.
