Temar Boggs, 15, and his friend saw what happened and sprang into action, chasing the car on their bicycles. They followed the car for 15 minutes, until the kidnapper, aware he was being followed, released the girl and drove away. The quick thinking and courage of these two boys led to the safe return of the young girl, likely saving her life.

Sometimes we need help. Everyone does and there's nothing wrong with that! When you help someone it makes your heart feel good, so needing help gives people an opportunity to feel that. But people often worry that they might offend us if they offer help and ask what's the best way to do so. It's simple really. "Hey, can I lend a hand?" Don't assume that someone with a disability needs help. Just ask. Like at the dog show, when we're struggling to get crates through a door that doesn't have a power button, a lovely human saw we were having issues and immediately came up and asked if she could assist. We gratefully accepted. But if we appear to be doing just fine on our own, there's no need to. Once in a while, someone assumes we need help and without asking, they will come up and try to take a bag saying, "Here, let me get that." Please don't do that. And if you see someone in a manual chair, please don't ever push or move their chair without permission. Most of all, just be sincere and kind. When we travel for a dog show it's HARD WORK, but other competitors like team Corgi and team Australian Cattle Dog are quick to offer a paw if we need it. In fact the Corgi's dad has single handedly loaded and secured our big wire crates so we could get home a few times! It's 10 minutes for him and at least an hour if we do it ourselves. He's a superhero. So never be ashamed to need a little help, and if you're able, asking someone, regardless of their abilities, if there's anything you can do to assist is just the kind, neighborly thing to do. 🐾♥️🐾
