BREAKING NEWS : Botswana cuts electricity to South Africa and closes its borders
President Duma Boko has declared a state of emergency and announced drastic measures against South Africa, amid escalating tensions fueled by accusations of xenophobia against Botswana citizens.
Among the most striking decisions is the cutoff of electricity to several South African provinces—an unprecedented move that risks worsening the already severe energy crisis in the neighboring country. In addition, the Botswana government has ordered the immediate closure of its borders and demanded the return of all its citizens currently in South Africa.
In a firm speech, Duma Boko strongly criticized the treatment of Botswana nationals, recalling his country’s historical support during the struggle against apartheid.
"We helped you fight oppression, and today our children are being humiliated."

They were not just mothers.
They were organizers, warriors, and keepers of memory.
Across Africa, women stood where history was breaking
and refused to let it fall.

In 1962, Nelson Mandela travelled across Africa under the alias David Motsamayi with support from Ethiopia’s Emperor Haile Selassie, allowing him to seek training and diplomatic backing for the struggle against apartheid. Before the world acted, Africa opened the road.

No African is foreign or illegal in Africa.
They may be undocumented, within the unrecognised Berlin Agreement border framework which no African representative signed up to, but they are not illegal.
Africa is the motherland of all native Africans.
This must be the starting point in any debate on the status of Africans in our entire continent.

@Knick_RSA Africa stood together once.
Can we still stand together today?

When a host says your presence is becoming harmful, responding with entitlement instead of reflection only makes things worse. Being “African” doesn’t replace the need for respect, responsibility, and accountability.
If you’re welcomed into someone’s space, the least expected is to honor their laws and not abuse the privilege. When that line is crossed, consequences are inevitable, that’s not hatred, that’s a reaction to perceived disorder.
But this conversation needs balance: not everyone there is doing wrong, and no innocent person deserves to be treated unjustly. Two truths can exist at once, respect for a nation’s laws, and protection of human dignity.
At the same time, we must face the harder question: why are we forced to leave home in the first place? If we truly want lasting solutions, we must fix what is broken in our own countries so we are not constantly seeking refuge elsewhere.
Respect where you are, and build where you’re from.

Pictured below, is Jacinta Zinhle MaNgobese Zuma, one of the firebrand xenophobic leaders in South Africa.
She was not born a Xenophobe, in fact she was a Panafricanist who publicly professed her love for Nigerian men, especially on how they take care of their women and family
All it took for her to become a Xenophobe was a rejection from a Nigerian man she loved. She then decided to be a nemesis to all African. So sad.
Now she goes around to Africans businesses, schools, and harass young children, telling them to go home.
