Zach Cregger says his RESIDENT EVIL is light on zombies, heavy on T-Virus mutants. He tells @IGN, "This movie doesn’t utilize zombies that much. It’s much more focused on the weird creature stuff than the zombies." "You have this opportunity for the T-Virus to do all these really fascinating things to the human body, and to the world around you, and so to just limit it to zombies feels like a squandered opportunity," Cregger explains. "So I tried to really vary it up."

Resident Evil will never have a good true film adaptation because how can you translate long and repetitive puzzles that make up 50% of the gameplay experience

@perc_hammett @TheSaekoSNOW Your “idea” is the most barebones brainstorming pitch. This movie is exactly in the vein of what makes Resident evil/Biohazard what it is. Survival horror, a character thrust into biological horrors, themes of perverted Midwest Americana due to corporations.
