I’ve updated my analysis of inequalities in health and life expectancy data to use the most recent ONS data. The most deprived group of men live 9 fewer years compared to the least deprived group. What’s more, despite living less long they spend 9 more years in poor health. 1/5

Ageing is framed as a “problem” and when we approach it in this way, we fail. The care gap has grown 60% in four years and there is a 25 year life expectancy gap between the rich and the poor. This needs to change and we need to start with a positive narrative. #longevity
