Today we had a visit from @BathgateRDS to talk to us about keeping safe on Bonfire Night. We really enjoyed listening to the firemen and asking them important questions. 🚒🎆
Bringing Halloween and Autumn into literacy this morning in P3/2 by practicing our spelling words on pumpkins, stamping letters in autumnal colours to write spelling words and writing in witches cauldrons and pumpkins. @wl_literacy
P6/5 had a fantastic trip to Trinlaymire farm on Wednesday. We found out lots of information about where our sources of food come from and how the farmers work hard to get it from the farm to our plates! 🚜
P2/1 are learning to #ShowRacismTheRedCard this week. We made wristbands showing our support for being inclusive and treating everyone fairly. We loved the story 'Spreading Our Wings' which shows how fab it is when everyone is free to share what makes them special.
P2/1 enjoyed the autumn sunshine this morning during our outdoors literacy hour. We wrote words and letters on pumpkins, followed a sound scavenger hunt, and painted autumn leaves.

P7 have been busy this afternoon at the Risk Factory. We looked at different scenarios, how we can minimise the risk to ourselves and keep ourselves safe.
P6/5 had a great week celebrating Maths Week Scotland 2024. We looked at artist Piet Mondrian's abstract art style and used base 10 materials to replicate his art, can you figure out what numbers we made? We also took part in the Numbers in the Fast Lane Grand Prix 🏆
P3/2 have the responsibility of being our JRSO this year. They were presented with their note pads and badges at assembly this morning. They worked hard with Miss Smith and Mrs McLaren to create an action plan and can’t wait to get started.
