Recycling Do's: glass bottles, aluminum cans, Amazon and other USPS/UPS boxes, cardboard boxes from flowers shipped in the mail, envelopes. Recycling Don’ts: candy wrappers, diamond rings, cellophane from flowers, cards that play music or with glitter or other decorations.

Don't be a Wishcycler! Placing non-recyclable items into your recycling bin is considered contamination. “When in doubt, throw it out!”

The Big Game is this Sunday! 🏈 Make sure you don't get a penalty for recycling incorrectly on game day.♻️

Pizza Boxes can be Recycled. Here's how! The part of the box that's not soiled with grease, cheese or other food can go into your curbside recycling bin. (Example: the top of the pizza box in our picture can be recycled. The bottom half goes into the trash.)

Keep recyclables loose - do NOT bag your recyclables! Plastic bags do not belong in curbside recycling. Plastic shopping bags may be recycled at some retail locations. Check with local stores to confirm the types plastic bags and film they will accept as the list may vary.

When it comes to disposing your large furniture or bulk waste items, if your items are salvageable, consider making a donation to a restore center versus throwing the items away! Remember that the Collection Center does not accept any Furniture or Construction/Demolition Debris!

To celebrate America Recycles Day, we gave classrooms in Lorain County the chance to Take the #BeRecycled Pledge. The classroom pledges we received, were entered for a chance to win a Pizza Party for your class! Congratulations to our winners!

Empty plastic bottles and jugs can go in your curbside recycling. This includes items like water and soda bottles, shampoo bottles, milk, water and juice jugs, laundry detergent jugs and bleach bottles. Plastic bottles and jugs must be empty, clean and dry before being recycled!
