This video perfectly captures Britain’s broken policing and priorities.
One elderly gentleman at his countryside home is swarmed by multiple officers, all for a social media post.
They treat him like a serious threat: unnecessarily handcuffed on his own doorstep as he calmly pleads there’s no need, he’s not going to run. With three young children inside, he repeatedly asks if they’re okay while officers drag him away to the station.
It’s scandalous. Disproportionate. Completely unnecessary.
This is the state of the UK: grooming gangs r*ped thousands of children across the country with authorities often failing to act, knife crime surging, burglaries and thefts routinely left uninvestigated because police are “stretched”, yet they deploy a full team to arrest a polite, well-mannered older man for “offensive” words online.
Two-tier policing in action: heavy-handed on speech, soft on real crime and victims.
Free expression is treated as the danger while the public suffers. Priorities are dangerously skewed.
This desperately needs to change, but with Keir Starmer in charge, it’s hard to see things improving anytime soon.

Zack Polanski calls out Ed Balls, a former Labour cabinet minister married to a current Labour cabinet minister for not asking questions about local policies for the upcoming May local elections - well said @ZackPolanski
Ed Balls, "Is it Green party policy to reduce the speed limit to 55mph?"
Zack Polanski, "That's not in the manifesto"
"In 10 days times we have local elections, an unsurprisingly, speed limits are not on the ballot"
Ed Balls, "And petrol prices?"
Zack Polanski, "I'm not sure what you're missing here having been a Labour politician"
"But a local election, petrol prices are not usually on the ballot"
Ed Balls, "All I'm doing is reading Green documents and asking if they're still policy or if they're going to change"
Zack Polanski, "Reading Green documents is doing a lot of heavy lifting"
Ed Balls, "I've been loving reading them it's absolutely fascinating"
"Apparently the Green party wants a world without borders"
Zack Polanski, "Do you know what I'm enjoying is that a Labour politician who is married to a senior Labour minister is allowed to ask questions of the leader of the Green party"
"This is not our manifesto"
Ed Balls, "Are you accusing me of being a Labour politician"
Zack Polanski, "You might have been a Labour minister"
Ed Balls, "I was a Labour Cabinet minister, I lost my seat in 2015 and I've not been a Labour politician for ten years"
"You're using an elaborate divide to make accusations against me to avoid answering the questions"
"The great thing is we can keep going"
"Is it Green party policy to abolish our borders"
Zack Polanski, "No it's not, its never been in our manifesto"
"And what you're doing is detracting from the fact that we want a fair and managed system of migration"
