@Yoteperson Scarcity of mineral materials. Since starships would most likely use different alloys than tanks, not having the right metals to make armoured vehicles wouldn’t necessarily impede someone from developing spacecraft.

Trying to justify space ships but also not having armored warfare because I hate tanks in my setting
