I am super pumped to share that last month, @chowdeck hit over 1 million orders in Nigeria in a single month! 🚀 The past few weeks hasn't been perfect. We have had some tough moments with support and operations. But we are listening, learning, and fixing things quickly. Our daily order volumes in Nigeria has grown from an average of ~30K daily orders a few weeks ago to over 40K daily orders presently and still increasing day on day. To everyone who’s shown us patience, trust, and continued support, thank you. This milestone reminds us of what is possible when people believe in what we’re building. Cheers to 1M orders! It’s still Day 1, and there are many more wins to come. Anticipate! 🚀

“When you go from consumer to B2B, the number one mega-challenge that you must master is LTV:CAC.” - @travisk "Yes, you can make that argument on consumer, but when you have a sales funnel that starts with 'I'm going to talk to customers, and I have to make LTV:CAC work' — versus 'My LTV:CAC is the App Store' — it's a whole different ballgame." “LTV:CAC with a sales machine, especially if you go [after] small businesses, is life on hard mode. Anybody who’s crushed it on SMB, those guys are special individuals who've made that happen. Because life in the SMB B2B world is no joke."

BIMODAL HIRING The hiring market is becoming bimodal. Companies want to hire either: Extremely experienced / strong / 10x engineers (eg: @bcherny) or growth marketers (eg: @ElenaVerna) or salespeople who use AI to refine their craft. OR Young people who are fearless and AImaxxed doers. In the middle is death. Esp if you're a spreadsheet jockey, as most middle managers are.

High agency checklist: - Ask forgiveness, not permission - They bug me, I don't bug them - Get the task done no matter what - Not 9 to 5, but also not mandated hours - Work more because the point is getting it done I don't care how much you work. I only see that you ship without being told.

the 10x engineer is now a 1000x engineer Turns out AI dev skillset is not evenly distributed. The best developers know how to use the tools and direct agents better than the average developer, and the gap is only growing!

We've reached the point in software development where it's far far easier for a small cracked team to actually build a product than for any team in a big co get the "approval" from "all the relevant stakeholders". This will have major consequences for most incumbents.

Coding agents didn’t eliminate PMs, designers, or engineers. They eliminated implementation as the bottleneck. Now the constraint is taste, system thinking, and review capacity. Execution is cheap. Judgment is scarce.

the most underrated hire right now is a great product person. when i say product person i'm def not talking about a product manager. perhaps i think there has to be somewhat of a new role. i don't have a good name for it yet but maybe something like "product thinker".. someone with an intuitive grasp of the product as it exists, where it's soft, where it sings, & how to iterate it toward something even sharper. in some sense, this person has to cohesively hold in their head where this product should be 2 years from now & work backwards from that. i say this cuz when building was hard, engineering was the bottleneck & the status hierarchy often reflected that. building is no longer hard. which means the variance in outcomes has shifted almost entirely to judgment on what to build, how to sequence it, & how to talk about it. & the story matters as much as the thing. internally, it organizes the team around a shared model of why. externally, it shapes the interpretive frame users bring to their first experience. you can't retrofit narrative onto a product & expect it to land, it has to be load bearing from the start. the rarest version of this person sits at the intersection of culture & deep technology. someone genuinely bilingual. they know what's technically possible & they know which cultural currents are real vs. ephemeral. that combo is what separates products that feel inevitable from products that feel assembled. before ppl clap back with this person has always been valuable, i know.. i am just saying now they might be the most *important* person in the room. their value compounds like never before.
