Has the whole tech industry been too naive to expect Apple make huge leaps in AI with Apple Intelligence? Hasn't Apple been the "Privacy First" company for decades? Aren't all companies at the forefront of the AI race, miners & holders of your data? Isn't your data powering AI?

I have been re-watching Smallville and it's been such a breath of fresh air to see how Black people have been casted on this show. They are Scientists, researchers, brainy folks, etc. Just normal. Not these stereotypical roles that Black people keep playing in modern day productions that often feel like monkeys putting on a show in a circus - always the same acts.

She’s absolutely right. And here is the main thing nobody seems to ask: 1. The Transatlantic slave trade may be the largest long distance slave trade, but did you know that the largest number of slaves, by far, never went to the United States like so many people think? The vast majority of slaves went to Brazil. So will Brazil be paying the vast amount of reparations? 2. The Arab Slave trade was larger by number of slaves, with significantly higher numbers of people who died as a result, especially by castration of male African slaves. And it’s also the longest running slave trade that began 1300 years ago, and is STILL ongoing. That’s right… the Arabs still have an active slave trade. Think Qatar. Who do you think built all those stadiums for their World Cup? If the truth about the slave trade was as important as the revisionist history about it, the Arab world would collapse today.

My ancestors were betrayed by their Gabonese compatriots and sold into slavery, but I see Gabon is demanding reparations on behalf of >me< from >someone else< 😍 Also, another term for slavery is ‘forced labour’ – but what happens in the Gulag stays in the Gulag, eh comrade?
Russian Embassy in NL🇷🇺🇳🇱@rusembassynl

Slavery is bad? Not for everyone. Look at the results of the UN GA voting on the relevant Resolution. See which countries don't support it and ask yourself why? Colonial way of thinking is still in their minds. #400years #Slavery #freedom

The way OpenAI is currently handling ChatGPT is what will finally give Google's Gemini the edge and make it dominate the generative-ai space once and for all. Google completely understands how to give the masses access to great quality tech services without the user feeling the burden of the cost of use. Personally, I do pay for a couple of Google services. However, by the time I went premium on those services, I had seen my growth, and it made sense to pay up. Google hadn't reduced my privileges in the free versions to force an upgrade on my part. I just grew beyond what the free version could accommodate. That's absolutely understandable. Right now, I have just sent out one prompt on ChatGPT and, all of a sudden, I'm hit with this pop-up urging me to upgrade. See where I'm getting at? That's the same blunder Evernote made, and before they knew it, Notion came into the scene and dominated. Hey @sama y'all can handle this a little bit better.

This tweet has made my Friday. I keep saying the same thing, but these same Africans are always quick to call me a "White/Colonialist Sympathizer". And they only get perspective when you bring in other former colonies in Asia as examples. Without being able to compare themselves with others, they just never get it. And, sometime, they still don't. This victimhood virus is the most tragic thing to happen to Africans.

The most effective trap set for Africa was the preservation of a victimhood narrative, one that many Africans have unknowingly embraced. While former British colonies elsewhere have leveraged their history to build global powerhouses, too many African nations remain tethered to the past, settling for the bare minimum while perpetually blaming imperialism for modern stagnation. Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong aren't so bad today. They're building and innovating, they're not participating in the Victimhood Olympics.

I think Microsoft just overdid themselves on this AI-race thing. Not in a good way, though. And who can blame them? They know they fumbled big time with Windows Phone - thanks to Steve Ballmer, who didn't grasp what Steve Jobs and Apple were doing when they launched the iPhone. Steve was too obsessed with the physical keyboard. (Maybe he's now an investor in the Clicks Communicator phone.) When it comes to Cloud Computing, Amazon with AWS got there before them, and Microsoft Azure has been playing second fiddle ever since. I think Microsoft has been seeing this AI age as the age of "redemption" for them. To never be "left behind" again. Well, as it turns out, maybe their AI ambitions have been overambitious and less calculated, and they didn't really put the end-user at the center of it all; hence, the user is now frustrated, and that makes Microsoft frustrated just as much.

@BBCWorld You SOLD your own people to SLAVE MERCHANTS - meaning that you got paid your dues. 400+ years later you're, again, soliciting more payment in the guise of "compensation"? You cannot make this stuff up!

Nope. We love being specific and logical. This banange-fellow @Uganda_Expozed has been overly excited to compare the incomparables and take pride at things Ugandans have no contribution towards. I just pointed that out. I think he's the one that got ticked off since he did not even respond. Okay, finish eating your matoke.😏

What do Ugandans have to do with these things that you are posting? You are comparing natural attractions in Uganda with man-made attractions and structures in Nairobi. As Kenyans, we are responsible for the man-made wonders you see. That's why we are way ahead. As Ugandans, you have no contribution at all to those natural attractions. You found them there.

This is just wishful thinking or maybe the admin is high on some Wakanda substance. African countries have failed at "being one" among their own tribes. How will these same countries then, magically, become one? Thinking that this is the solution to what bedevils Africa, ia evidence of lack critical thinking and foresight among the populace.
