This circle doesn't square. Maybe it's just conspiracy brain, but this very much feels like WotC screwed the pooch hard and paid Dan to take the fall rather than admit liability themselves. They screw up so often it's actually *easier* to believe that than Dan being so lazy.

@wizards_magic To be blunt given this post from his agent it seems a bit hard to take Dan's story at face value. Dan is claiming he referenced Marta's art as a copy and then his agent says they "never saw this version" Unless I'm missing something these seem like nearly contradictory accounts?

To be perfectly frank, this is why I stopped playing Magic for the most part, because across the board it just does not feel like gameplay balance is remotely a priority for Wizards anymore. It's been *years* now and it could not be more apparent that they simply *do not care*

Modern is not a serious format.
Boros Energy is literally a tier 0 deck by the numbers, it pretty much has been the top of the format since MH3 dropped, even after eating bans, and WotC says "Modern looks like it's in a healthy and fun place right now".
