@YUNGJEFF Best way to experience the story will always be to read the manga. But if you’d rather just watch the anime, then I’d say also check out the cover stories as those add context to characters that haven’t appeared in a while and the anime doesn’t usually adapt those.

Question for my One Piece enjoyers: (Might delete this later, just curious what yall think) What’s the best way to go about FULLY experiencing the story on first watch besides just watching the anime? I’ve read like 2 of the cover stories not all, nor watched any movies. I guess my main question is does it take away anything from just watching the anime or only add? If it adds: should I go back right now and read all the cover stories/watch all the movies that I missed? Or is there a good stopping point later on I can do that?

@carloslovessm I can see it in a comedic way, I mean his last words are "I never mattered" so in the same way someone might feel bad for a character like Squidward or Butters when they suffer comedically, I get it haha

@7Spideycomics Yeah... biggest issue I have with his run is a lot of the quips (and some of the dialogue) feels like it came from '05 Ben 10. And like that's not the worst thing ever, but I'd appreciate it if he'd tone it down. Otherwise I honestly enjoy his run.

I like how ASM is focusing on getting great artists (Cory Smith, Pete Woods, and Patrick Gleason) to do smaller scale one-shots and two-parters on the road to 1000. (I wonder which artists will draw the remaining four issues before the big milestone…)
