That's a different argument entirely. Relatively, how many boomers had the lifestyle we have today? My parents were comfortable, but not well off. I had 3 brothers and all our Christmas presents came from the catalogue. Some were secondhand. We had one 2-week holiday a year.
My parents never went for a night out. Never once did they go out for a meal together, apart from when me and my brothers had left home and they started to go on occasional weekend breaks.
Property prices were much lower yes, but people had far less disposable income, and they weren't spending it on tech, holidays, nights out, streaming subscriptions, internet, consoles, gaming etc.
So this whole "boomers were eating burgers every day" nonsense is a complete misrepresentation of the reality.

Riot Games explained that the new Vanguard update is designed only to stop advanced cheating devices, not to harm normal computers.
Some cheaters use special external hardware called DMA devices to secretly access game data and avoid detection. Vanguard now blocks those devices by using a standard Windows security feature called IOMMU protection.
For regular players, nothing changes:
>Your PC will not be damaged.
>Normal hardware and software are unaffected.
>Games and programs will work normally if you are not using cheating hardware.
The DMA devices themselves are not destroyed or damaged. They just can’t be used to cheat in games like Valorant and League of Legends anymore.
Riot says the goal of the update is to reduce cheating and keep matches fair.

The Riot Vanguard anti-cheat system used in Valorant is “trolling” hackers. It recently received an update that blocks many hardware cheating devices.
These devices connect through SATA and NVMe drives to bypass anti-cheat detection.
The update can completely lock some of these devices, and many users say the only way to fix the problem is by reinstalling Windows.
Cheaters are also seeing a red ban screen that moves across the display and sometimes causes visual glitches.
I don't like cheaters, but if they are bricking PCs, it is illegal.

Samsung and its union reached a tentative agreement at the last minute just before a planned 18-day strike, ending five months of negotiations over profit-sharing bonuses.
The proposed deal includes:
>A 12% profit-sharing bonus for workers
>Additional uncapped payouts from the semiconductor division
>A 10-year treasury share program
While the union had pushed for a 15% bonus, the agreement still compares favorably to the 10% offered by SK Hynix.
