@gotrice2024 old lead paint comes of best with heat. use a blowtorch or a heat gun. heat the paint till it bubbles and then scrape with a fairly sharp scraper. sand the rest off.

This woman was tired of looking at her dingy stairs, the color was all wrong and the paint chips were hiding the beautiful wood she wanted to expose. Over the weekend she decided to strip the paint and get the finis she envisioned. The only problem is that there was so many layers of paint that it was impossible to get it off clean, the process was clumsy and slow. Panicking, she called in the pros that quoted her $8000 to do it. At this point wouldn’t it just be easier to just repaint it again since she doesnt want to pay the $8000?
