🇦🇹🇧🇦🇭🇷 Matteo Silvio Maric (16) could become a potentially crucial dual-national player. He has meanwhile signed for Bayern.
Strangely enough, I don’t see many tweets about him, but in January half of Europe was interested.
In terms of ceiling, things are now getting more serious given his age, but what he did at U15 level etc, was extraordinary. He is now also around 1.93m tall. He mainly plays higher up the pitch as a 10 due to his dominance, but he can also play as an 8. Could become crucial for us.

Matteo Silvio Marić ('10, CM) has been a familiar name in the youth ranks for a while, and now he has earned his first U15 cap with 🇦🇹. Born there into a mixed (Croat-Bosniak) family. He's a huge prospect from the Red Bull Academy in Salzburg, and to be honest - I've seen very few players as dominant as him at that level. Midfielder who currently stands out mainly due to his height (>1.90m), but don't be mistaken - he also excels technically and in his overall footballing ability. He has the brains, reacts quickly under pressure, finds footballing solutions, a very impressive carrier, has flair, uses both feet, and also a good finisher. Fluid motion and can manipulate his body. Haven't seen much of his ball-striking, but he does take the set-pieces, which says something. Looked like a cheat code in the match I watched - almost impossible for boys his age to compete with him. Definitely not my last tweet about him.

Moramo jednom zauvijek prestati biti nedorasla nacija koja svoje frustracije liječi tako što poslije svakog neuspjeha razbija sve što voli. To smo već jednom uradili 2014. godine, u Brazilu. Ispali smo zbog sudijske greške, ali smo se ponašali kao da smo ispali isključivo zbog grešaka naših dojučerašnjih heroja. Toliko je bilo gorčine, pljuvanja i negativnosti da nam je trebalo više od deset godina da vratimo kult reprezentacije, da opet stanemo iza grba bez stida i podjela. I sada, kada imamo generaciju golobradih mladića koji tek uče šta znači nositi teret nacije na leđima, mi ponovo stojimo na raskrsnici. Ili ćemo ih podržati dok rastu, ili ćemo ih slomiti prije nego što postanu ono što mogu biti. Nemamo pravo ponavljati iste greške. Nemamo pravo gasiti ono što se tek počelo paliti. Nemamo pravo da od dječaka tražimo savršenstvo, a od sebe ništa. Ako želimo reprezentaciju koja ima karakter, onda ga prvo moramo pokazati mi. Ako želimo pobjednike, onda moramo prestati biti narod koji svoje poraze liječi salvom uvreda i bjesomučnom kritikom. Ovi igrači, pogotovo tek stasala djeca, zaslužuju šansu koju prethodna generacija nikada nije imala, šansu da ih volimo i kad padnu, jer samo tako mogu ustati jači.
