This has arguably been the hardest Premier League to win. Previous champions spending £400m in the summer. Pep buying two of the best players in the league in January. Three teams making European finals. A CL team in 17th. Fewest points between 1st and 18th in over a decade.

@25mahfuz @V0ice_OfReason7 @Evertxn What does that prove tho, if one teams worse going forward but better defensively, does that make them a worse team or just a different team. Arsenal are a better team this year than in 22/23 but in 22/23 we probably played our most expansive attacking football.

The league competitiveness is irrelevant because everyone plays everyone.
It’s the title challenger you face that makes it hard.
City centurions and Klopp’s Liverpool are two of the best ever. Only 1 can win.

@Lordalam786 @Evertxn FIVE Teams finished with over 70 Points in 2018/19. Only three can POSSIBLY hit that landmark this season. The Teams in the 6th, 7th, and 8th all finished on Higher Points' totals than their counterparts this season too.

@25mahfuz @Evertxn What I said was wrong, but point still stands, if 2 teams can pull 100 points it heavily implies the opposition isn’t as good. Leeds fighting relegation 2 games ago being only 5 points off Europe now is insanity. The closeness of the league shows the level of competitiveness

@Lordalam786 That wasn't the point though, the point is about winning the PL title, winning it with 97 points (meaning no slip up is allowed) is harder even if the overall league is weaker, at least in my opinion
