@AhsokaTheBest I think for the clone wars series is was a good idea to bring in a younger female main character to balance out the cast even a smidge. Especially since she’s a student, so we grow and learn with her as the seasons pass.

@LoreSleeper My issue isn't the idea of repurposing unused pokemon, nor it not being connected to the other birds. My issue is that it's role feels... pointless, like if you swapped it with any other powerful flying type, nothing is lost, like why have it be Galarian Moltres at that point?

I think why swanna fails is because it didn’t actually commit to the “ugly duckling” inspiration
Ducklett isn’t ugly, and feebas had done the same thing 2 gens prior, which makes it feel like, just a swan pokemon, with nothing really special

The bones of the character are there but he's so far removed from what even the travesty that BW Ash was that he ceases to be the same character.
Put it this way: no other Ash canonically neglected his Pokemon three separate times.

@Prince_Spoopy I wish Ducklett was actually ugly and Swanna went further into the beautiful swan look. Both designs are fine but feel halfhearted. Like I want Milotic levels of beauty. Maybe a third evolution based on high friendship.

A character I’ll never understand the hype over as her personality just revolves around being a brat that claims she’s as good if not better than Sub-Zero, just to then be proven as not even in the same league as him
