John deserved loyalty, integrity, and justice — not betrayal from those who were supposed to stand by him. The way his case was handled was a complete failure on every level. Instead of finding the truth, they rushed to blame an innocent woman to cover their tracks. That’s not justice — it’s cowardice.

Well Lori -Ann . On that special day . Hanky was caught once again lying . Remember Hanky lied and said it was road rash about the holes in John Okeefes sweatshirt. Yet it was the criminalist who made the holes ..watch this clip and see how easy it is to manipulate the taillight to show snow . It’s called the editing app .. love Hanky Brennan

I’m not ignoring anything. I’m asking for actual proof. Cranking up the zoom on a snow covered, blown out image doesn’t turn guesswork into evidence. If it were truly obvious, you’d point to a clean, visible break in this photo instead of sending people off to "other photos" and calling it truth. That’s not how evidence works that’s how you prop up a conclusion you already decided on. You are a JOKE!

@LorieA1969 @LatinaLatina24 @KyleSharkey8 You choose to ignore the truth. That kinda makes people sick and tired of hearing it. You can zoom in. You can look at other photos. Or you can stay ignorant.

@shazlick79 @KyleSharkey8 If your entire argument hinges on throwing around slurs like that, you’ve already disqualified yourself. It’s not just offensive it’s embarrassingly weak. Strip away the insults and there’s nothing there. Try again when you can actually make a point without sounding like that.

Spare us the "First Amendment" bullshit, you don’t believe a word of it. When it’s your side, it’s "free speech" and "bogus charges." When it’s someone you don’t like, like Aidan Kearney suddenly those same charges are fine. That’s hypocrisy with a loud mouth. Pick a standard and stick to it. Can't have it both ways fool.

@VerityI952 @NBC10Boston What you’re really saying is you’d rather ignore how people actually react under stress because it doesn’t fit your conclusion. Be thankful you’ve never been there, its a horrible experience.

Matthew Farwell's upcoming federal trial could be the most significant murder trial in Massachusetts since the prosecution of Karen Read, our legal expert says. Here's why. on.nbcboston.com/bTDeYgK

@VerityI952 @NBC10Boston Good Lord do you have comprehension issues? Because panic hijacks your brain. Missing person, argument, alcohol, gaps in memory your mind jumps straight to the worst thing you can imagine.

@LorieA1969 @NBC10Boston Why in the world would an innocent person, whether still drunk or not, think she may have hit John?

There’s also no “reason“ to assume your memory of a chaotic, alcohol fueled night is perfectly accurate hours later but here you are doing exactly that. People jump to worst case conclusions when someone they love is missing. That’s panic, not proof. You’re treating a distressed statement like a confession because it fits your narrative, not because it actually proves anything. Keep reaching though.

@LorieA1969 @NBC10Boston No, I don't think so. There's absolutely NO reason for her to think she hit him at 4:30 am when she allegedly saw him go to the door. Stop making excuses for her.

Because panic isn’t logical it jumps to the worst case. They fought, he never came home, and she was the last one with him. That’s exactly when your brain spirals to “did I do something?” It’s a fear driven thought, not a calculated admission. You’re treating panic like a confession. It’s not.

@LorieA1969 @NBC10Boston OK, I can understand the panic because he didn't come home, but what I can not understand is why she thought she may have hit him, as she told John's niece at 4:30 am.

Because it was 5am, her boyfriend hadn’t come home after a fight, and she couldn’t reach him what part of that doesn’ttrigger panic? People don’t respond to stress like robots. Lack of sleep, alcohol, fear, and uncertainty all amplify reactions. Jumping to “did I hit him?” isn’t some calculated admission it’s exactly how a panicked mind spirals when something feels wrong. And the “screaming” point? You’re acting like distress has a proper volume setting. People react differently some shut down, some lose it. That’s not evidence of guilt, it’s evidence of a crisis. You’re trying to turn normal human panic into a confession, and it just doesn’t work. Do you have the same suspicious feeling about Jenn McCabe’s 5:07 AM phone call to sister?

@LorieA1969 @NBC10Boston Why was she panicked at 5am? And why would she think she may have hit John just because he didn't come home after a fight? And why was she screaming like a banshee when she got to Jen McCabe's house?

Hiring a top lawyer isn’t guilt, it’s what anyone with a brain does when their life is on the line. “Tainting the jury pool” The court controls that if it were real, it would’ve been addressed. And the 5am comment? You’re cherry-picking one line from a chaotic, panicked moment and pretending it’s a confession. That’s weak. You’re not following evidence you’re bending it to fit what you already decided.

@LorieA1969 @NBC10Boston Yes, she did, but to avoid a mandatory 5-20, she hired the big gun from LA, and with the help of Aidan and his turtleriders, they threw innocent witnesses under the bus to taint the potential juror pool. An innocent person would have NEVER said at 5am "John's dead!"

@VerityI952 @NBC10Boston A chaotic statement isn’t proof, and silence isn’t confirmation. You’re just swapping excuses depending on what’s convenient. She didn't hit John.

@LorieA1969 @NBC10Boston Well, Birchmore wasn't alive to tell anyone what happened to her. Karen was alive and told those at the scene what happened, and that it was all her fault, and that she hit John.

@VerityI952 @NBC10Boston Funny how in Birchmore you say "they’re not medical examiners" and lean on a suicide ruling, but in Karen Read they had no issue locking into a cause and building a whole case around it. Can’t have it both ways.

@VerityI952 @NBC10Boston They trusted the ME isn’t proof of no corruption it’s proof they didn’t do their job. Because at the end of the day, "we took the ME’s word for it" doesn’t defend the system it highlights exactly where it failed.

@LorieA1969 @NBC10Boston The M.E. said it was suicide, not the Norfolk County DA. Thankfully, family and friends didn't agree, pushed back, and got another M.E. to look at the case. No corruption, just took the word of the M.E. as most would do.

@VerityI952 @NBC10Boston Saying he "deserves it" doesn’t answer why the Norfolk County DA did nothing and the Feds had to step in. That’s the part you’re avoiding. The ONLY reason why he will get what he deserves is because the Feds stepped in. Stinks like corruption to me.

@NBC10Boston I don't agree that this case comes anywhere near what happened in the Read case, but I am glad that Sandra's family and friends didn't believe the M.E. and pushed back to take a closer look. No corruption. I don't think anyone will disagree that Farwell deserves what he gets.
