I work in marketing so let me help out. - In order for Jay-Z to get the cover of a magazine it takes planning, strategy, and alignment. GQ doesn’t chose a print publication cover the same month let alone the same quarter. - the interview took place in January before the files and after his case was dropped - many journalist reach out to others for quotes. It doesn’t hurt to have Jack Dorsey as a contributor to your article. - he said 26 is an offensive year…so he’s in the marketplace in many ways. This is how you market. And you don’t market at this level the month of or the year of. These are very simple marketing tactics.

Man did they even talk about Reasonable Doubt or Blueprint in the gq interview? I watched the entire thing and don’t remember them discussing em at all 😂 all they discussed was topics to help his public image.
