What's interesting is last year my customers for my flower business were half paying cash and half paying card (debit, credit). This year, 33% are using cash and a whopping 66% are using cards. This implies the economy is getting so bad people are resorting to credit cards.

Treasury yields surged today, basically warning the new Fed chair not to cut rates, as well as uncertainty between the war, oil continuing up, inflation going up, no breakthrough with China to help reopen the Hormuz mess caused by Trump's choice. Hype appears over. Reality here.

What's keeping market propped: 1. Trump manipulation (claiming Iran caving/deal imminent, just days away, daily) 2. AI hype What's actually coming: 1. Global oil reserves empty by late summer, a global recession/depression 2. Famine 3. Traders predict stagflation in late 2026

I remember reading an article that said the market crashes within months after new Fed chairs get put on the job, and has happened every single time, except for Yellen.

The numbers are through the roof beyond what expert economists predicted.

Hyperinflation coming, but everyone's ignoring the elephant in the room, which is that the Strait of Hormuz is still closed and will most likely be closed for the foreseeable future. PPI (what businesses experience as inflation) will eventually translate to consumer inflation.

Looks like reality finally caught up. The pump and dump is officially over. All downhill from here. No new all time highs until another 20 years?

Reports suggest US doesn't have enough advanced weapons to attack Iran without saving an emergency stash (Taiwan invasion) even if Trump wanted to. Reports suggest Iran working with ALL surrounding countries to ship goods through them to bypass US naval blockade.

After 60 day clock and seeing Trump and Iran's responses, it seems: 1. Trump's maximizing threat posturing EVEN if he no longer attacks. 2. Iran circumnavigating blockade, and delaying to prepare militarily IF re-attacked, and to ensure economic pain has time to hit US.

@WatchThisIWC He's pulling the "it hasn't been 60 days" because of the ceasefire. I think he's doing this to put pressure on Iran. If Iran knew Trump couldn't do anything, they'd have free reign. But if Trump continuously threatens like a barking dog, but no bite, it might keep Iran in line.

Tomorrow is day 60 after Trump notified Congress of attacking Iran. By law he has to start pulling troops out tomorrow. He could use this as a forced off ramp, or he could just ignore it like he ignores other laws and veto anything Congress throws him. The GOP's fully behind him.

He's effectively pulling a China/Taiwan where after their civil war, there was no armistice, no official ending of hostilities and Trump simply pulls troops out away from Iran. But what and US bases? Will Trump dare send ships and troops back in or leave the Middle East forever?

I think the war is over. Trump admitted defeat when he extended the ceasefire indefinitely. Now it's just a matter of time for the damage to work through the system depending on how long Hormuz is kept closed.

Trump's known for skirting laws, so IF he's using the ceasefire to buy time for the USS Boxer to arrive, he'll claim ceasefire was for 3-4 weeks therefore it's not been 60 days, but only 30+ days or whatever. It all depends if he was blackmailed or doing this freewill.

The War Powers Act states the President shall basically end all attack and move US forces from hostile locations after 60 days, if Congress has not yet declared war. That's May 1. Trump may be trying to "reset" this 60 days OR trying to use the ceasefire as a "forced" offramp.

We don't know WHY Trump attacked Iran. 1. If he was blackmailed, he'd use the ceasefire to buy time until May 1 to pull troops out, claiming victory, that the law stopped him, avoiding Bibi releasing Epstein videos. 2. If Trump's doing this freewill, he may attack again.
