@BayernPapa It doesn't matter if the Argentine player touched the ball he still made the same amount of contact w/ Salah's foot as the precedent set earlier in the game when they disallowed Egypt's goal. Either they call both plays by the same standard, or, they clearly used double-standards

@CFCMods What rivalry?!? Them playing 1 final together? Smh... you think money has a lesser influence than that?!? Besides, you're assuming getting France to another Final isn't part of what was rigged. Regardless it's quite obvious... raise your hand if you're sure!

FIFA awarded 3 French referees for the Argentina vs Egypt game despite the rivalry between France and Argentina, surely this was also rigged ? Now do you see how stupid you all sound.

@AlexiLalas I think we need more Euro-centric club team models where top talent is brought in house and developed.

Youth soccer (youth sports) is a competitive market with businesses selling a product that obviously customers are willing to pay for. I’d love if soccer was free to all. But who is going to pay for all this free soccer?
Clay Travis@ClayTravis

One big US soccer thought: our youth development has to get more affordable. One of my kids plays travel. It’s at least $5k a year & this isn’t even super high end. We can afford it, thankfully, lots can’t. Youth sports costs in the US are out of control, soccer more than most.

@AlexiLalas Pay for play produced Messi... it clearly isn't the problem w/ developing players. What there needs to be is more money into developing American players, than paying aging foreign players. When US players can make millions in the US playing pro soccer, then we'll see it grow.

France have now gone ahead and appealed to FIFA to rescind Olise’s yellow card against Paraguay. Matías Galarza went to the ground holding his face, but replays showed Olise was only holding his shirt. Pending a response from FIFA
Bayern & Germany@iMiaSanMia

The French Football Federation (FFF) is exploring possible appeals to have the yellow card shown to Michael Olise in the 97th minute against Paraguay overturned. Olise was booked for an altercation with Matías Galarza. The yellow card could have serious consequences because Olise would miss a potential semifinal if he's booked against Morocco [@lequipe]

@datsmedude28 @CFCMods You most certainly can... there's a cross coming into the box, Salah got in front of a defender, who reached up and grabbed Salah's jersey, then yanked on it to stop him from going for the rebound. x.com/i/status/20745…
Nuel@LfcNuel

Mind you Salah was fouled in the build up to Argentina third goal and Egypt was supposed to be given a penalty instead. VAR checked it and still went ahead to give the goal. This is the worst World Cup ever.

In what world is this not a foul? Why do people suddenly become room temperature IQ individuals when it comes to Messi and Argentina

@hypern0va_ @CFCMods Same contact on both plays... if it's a foul that calls and Egyptian goal back, then it should also be a foul that calls back the Argentine goal. That also ignores the play before where Salah was yanked down from behind, which should have been a PK.

@Manestbleu @CFCMods Which is irrelevant to whether it's a foul or not... he grabbed the jersey to hold him back then yanked it pulling him down... it's a foul, in the box, and thus a penalty.

@pchs0 @CaleoKathline Right.. like the one in the corner of the box was only a slight contact, individually I wouldn't have called a PK... However, when compared with the earlier Egypt goal that was disallowed, there's just as much contact on Salah. x.com/i/status/20745…

@pchs0 @CaleoKathline Egypt had a goal disallowed earlier in the game for less contact than the foul on Salah... however, prior to that play, Salah had his jersey grabbed from behind and was spun to the ground... this should have been a PK before that. It was clearly a robbery.

@CaleoKathline Nah this one wasn't a robbery. I dont like Argentina but salah wasn't fouled in the penalty box and the disallowed goal was a clear foul. I wanted Egypt to win tbh

@FIFA @FIFAWorldCup this is disgusting... Salah was grabbed from behind by his jersey & whipped to the ground in box, no pen. He was then tripped w/ the same level of contact that they called an EGY goal was called back for, but they refused to use VAR to review it when ARG score

@ESPNFC If this is enough contact for a foul, the same contact on Salah before the 3rd Argentina goal should have called back this goal, too.

@TmCiteilife This one isn't the bad one... the bad one is on the cross before that, where Salah had his jersey grabbed and was thrown down from behind...
