Cognizant only hires Indians. On April 2nd A Manhattan jury put a $8.4 million penalty on Cognizant Technology Solutions, ruling that Cognizant only hired and promoted Indians. It faced the same Penalty in 2024 in Los Angeles. In 2023 they faced a lawsuit from Clorox for providing terrible tech service which led to a cyber attack.

“He had 20 years to become a citizen!” No. Thanks to country of origin caps, the wait time for Indians can be over *100 years*—just to get a green card. Many die waiting in line.
We tell people seeking the American Dream to come here “the right way,” and then we punish them for doing so.

This H-1B worker has lived in the US for nearly 20 years and built a family here. His mom was dying in India. To visit her, he would need to wait months to book a consular appointment--with the soonest one available likely being scheduled one year out. He made the difficult choice of not visiting his dying mom because leaving without an appointment would mean separation from his children, job, and his other obligations. Much of the commentary around immigration focuses on how such bureaucratic burdens undermine immigrants’ ability to contribute and innovate. But we must remember that this red tape also prevents these people from being fully engaged with their own lives and meaningfully present in the lives of others. This matters too, and these seemingly non-economic problems will eventually translate into economic costs. If America is no longer a place where people feel empowered to be the best versions of themselves as they celebrate, struggle, and grieve, it ceases not just being the land of opportunity, but also the land of dignity and purpose. linkedin.com/posts/gautam-d…

Every Indian wants to get out of India. There's 1.4 BILLION of them, and the only way to give them 'a better life' is to allow them to completely overrun the societies WE have built for US and OUR children. There are just too fucking many of them - and they're EVERYWHERE.
They're clannish, bring new and unique forms of discrimination with them, whenever they're involved in the democratic system, they CONSISTENTLY vote Left (no doubt, they'd vote Right back home) to import even higher numbers of their co-ethnics, they never fully assimilate and ALWAYS demonstrate sectarianism - and that's not even touching on the anti-social behaviour.
They have their own country - it's completely unacceptable for India to export their excess population (both young and old) to form voting blocs and harvest resources to send back home in the form of remittances.

Paroled Haitians (via CHNV or similar programs) often qualify as Cuban-Haitian Entrants. This gives them refugee-like eligibility for SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, SSI, and Refugee Cash Assistance without the standard 5-year bar that applies to most other parolees. They also receive fast work authorization.
It's continuing due to federal court injunctions and stays blocking full termination of TPS and related parole statuses into 2026.
