I believe that culture should be shared. I just wish specific kpop idols didn’t make our type of music and then go on to be racist, I can name a few kpop groups that have been respectful to black people in general but that’s the thing, it’s only a few :(

the thing is koreans would unironically love it if a black guy sang about hanbok, korean skin care, japchae and kimchi the understanding of cultural appropriation vs. appreciation is wildly different between koreans & black americans and that’s part of the main issue

Too much toxicity on the TL Re: K pop and Black influence.
The influence is clear, and undeniable.
That said, I'm not cool with the broad brush some are using to paint Koreans.
Are SOME racists? Sure. But definitely not all.
