If you’re the #Giants you have to be interested in this, no? Players like Vita Vea are rare to come by and this defense still needs true viable player at DT. Vea could also be a long term investment IMO.

@Eyesandvibes The one thing that confuses me about this is usually when FIFA plan a change in the game like this, they usually do test runs at lower tournaments. That determines whether it’s worth doing it at the World Cup. This wasn’t done with the hydration breaks.

@lhenry019 A World Cup with 64 teams means 128 games. That means 16 cities would have 8 games each on average. If it reduces to 6 games on average, you would need 21 host cities with all the infrastructure. Few countries alone can do that. No more single host country hosting anymore.

64 teams for #FIFAWorldCup 2030. 128 by 2038 at this rate. Not sure how I feel about it.

Hear me out: FIFA should let every team on Earth into the World Cup -Start with geographically based groups -Spread the matches out over 2.5-3 years -Have the top 32 or 48 teams from those groups meet in a single country for one last tournament to determine the winner Thoughts?

I know this will rub #USMNT fans wrong way, but this reported decision is bullshit. If you receive a red — controversial or not — you’re suspended for next game. Suspending the suspension is laughable and automatically puts into question integrity of competition. #FIFAWorldCup
