@natolisnuggets Finance Guy just keeps making the same mistakes over and over. He posts engagement bait then gets all bitter and angry when people engage him and blocks them. It’s an interesting strategy.

@GuyTalksFinance @LouScunt6 I’ve made plenty of mistakes and much worse. Hence the lessons I’m trying to pass along.

People will make fun of me for not being able to afford a second car, but get mad when I laugh at someone for not being able to afford rent 🤣

@GuyTalksFinance @DividendDaddy1 You were talking about liquidating investments to pay for your basement remodel last week. You’re not even in a position to replace your wife’s totaled car. Is getting a dog and paying someone else to care for it a financially prudent decision right now?

@DividendDaddy1 Well of course, but they say a puppy needs one to two walks mid day. So to supplement we would hire someone Until the dog is old enough to make it all day we would have to do that. I don’t see the big deal everyone is making

Been thinking about getting a puppy so we’re doing research on how expensive a dog walker would be. We need someone to come walk the dog at least once per day. The going rate for a dog walker is $35 for a 30 minute walk. Do the math — Dog Walking is a great business to be in.

You should never need a side hustle to afford paying rent. If that’s the case — you gotta ask yourself why you aren’t making enough money at your main job or why you’re paying so much in rent. Working more isn’t the solution to bad financial decisions.

@GuyTalksFinance Regardless of WHY you did it you quite literally made fun of someone for working a side hustle to further themselves. Thats the context.

I would never make fun of someone for grinding harder to better their life. I will make fun of you if you’re constantly taking jabs at me. It’s really simple — stop taking the story out of context.

@GuyTalksFinance I could understand hiring a dog walker if your time is work more than $70/hr but wouldn’t it be pretty financially irresponsible in this case?

1. Why would I use an emergency fund for renovations? 2. We just put down over $100k down payment to buy a home, our project fund is kinda low and being rebuilt 3. I have the money in my stock accounts and upon doing research found a basement renovation is more than 70% — will the S&P 500 match that? 4. You live in the ghetto (Bronx) focus on getting out of there, not on me buddy.

@GuyTalksFinance Don’t you have like a $500k mortgage debt you don’t have the liquidity to pay off tomorrow if you needed to?

@GuyTalksFinance Did you considering invoicing yourself for the $2,000? That would be a pretty sweet side hustle for one days work.

On the weekends I’m Home Improvement Guy. Today is electrical work. Wonder how much money I’m saving doing all the lighting and outlets myself. My guess is at least $2k

@GuyTalksFinance Crypto will outperform them all combined. People who don’t have at least some (10-15%) exposure, minimum, to crypto at this point deserve to be generationally poor.

In honor of Donald Trump's first day as President, I invested $10,000 in the stock market: ➡️ $3,333 into $VTI ➡️ $3,333 into $GLD ➡️ $3,333 into $GBTC I’m looking forward to seeing which ETF position performs the best in the upcoming years.

I can’t believe I have to make a post like this. Yes, of course I have enough cash in my emergency fund to purchase a new or used car. Although I don’t believe purchasing a second car is an emergency. My wife can use my car for work and I have a company vehicle. We will figure out how to get by being a one car household for a while. Our goal is to buy a Tesla when we have enough disposable money saved for it 😎

@GuyTalksFinance You can lease a Model 3 for $299 a month, perhaps even less with NY state incentives. It’s kinda a no brainer to do that

My wife got into a car accident last week and her car got pretty banged up. I had a feeling the insurance company was going to total the car because the cost of the repair is probably going to be higher than the cars value. If the insurance company gives us a check for $7k that won’t be enough to buy a used car and we don’t have enough saved to cover the difference. It seems like we’re being forced into becoming a one car household. What would you do in this situation?

Over the last few months I’ve been thinking about dropping the anonymous account and sharing more details about myself. The only thing holding me back is once it’s done there’s no going back. What’s your thoughts on this?

Don’t say “we don’t know what Donald Trump is going to do.” We know exactly what he is going to do. He has been telling us what he is going to do for years. If you don’t believe that, you haven’t been paying attention.
