At one point, corporate told the Don & Mike Show they couldn’t play bodily sounds on the air. In response, they made voice drops describing many such sounds. One of them was “GREAT BIG FART!” in deep voice with reverb. That’s been on a loop in my head for much of this game.

@rmnb Also ESPN shows endless replays no matter what. Often with full audio and from every available angle so if you look away it sounds like things have gotten even worse.

The most Capitals thing in the world

An eye-wateringly wretched 10-15 minutes sandwiched between a phenomenal start and a gutsy comeback/white-knuckle finish, getting by in the shootout by the skin of their teeth. (Thank you, LT!) Just like they drew it up! The Caps have at least rarely been boring this season.

The 2025-26 Washington Capitals special teams are approaching the stuff of legend at this point. How a team can have such solid 5-on-5 play, but feel like a dump truck on 2 flat tires hauling nitroglycerin when a penalty gets called (on EITHER team, mind you), is dumbfounding.
