This is what I mean. To the extent that the Texas A&M and Texas Tech policies have any single cause, it's the personal pique of Brandon Creighton and Dan Patrick. The idea that criticism of academia by centrist or conservative academics played any role is laughable.

Third, the professoriate needs to drop the idea that it can in any way control the conversation about academia. Some people seem to have the crazy notion that by criticizing academia, folks like @Tyler_A_Harper is helping Trump dismantle it. As if Trump needs Harper's help. 14/
