I was asked if I regret leaving my old business behind
Yes & No
Sure, it was profitable. I chose my customers. The phone never stopped ringing and I never paid for ads!
-Oh and plenty of tea and biscuits :)
But it just wasn't making me happy deep down. I was working for the customers satisfaction and not my own.
-Plus a hands-on labour intensive job is pretty tough after 18 years!
But I knew I enjoyed helping people. And building repeat customers I'd call friends was something that I was good at. I just needed to find another way to provide it.
Several months later and $1000's spent on courses. I believe (and hope!) I've found it through marketing and copywriting.
Now, I'm building something that I'm passionate about that can help others achieve their goals - To me that's pretty satisfying :)
If you care to join me on this journey, I'll be revealing insights I've learned from operating a service based business for over 6 years, stories from 18 years in construction and what I'm currently learning via marketing & copywriting!
-Plus trying to keep accountable by posting regularly
Louis
ps. my oldest customer was 96!
