We're just never going to get another playoffs decided by anything but attrition until they slow the game down by rule change or reduce the schedule.

There is a very non-zero chance we're going to get the Lakers without Luka and Reaves vs. the Wolves without Ant and McDaniels. But we can't shorten the season. That would be a crime because we'd make a few million less.

Lakers LIKELY lose to Thunder and Warriors, likely beat Jazz because Utah will do whatever is necessary to outtank them. Nuggets LIKELY beat Portland and Memphis, likely lose to one of OKC and San Antonio, though one or both may not play starters. Reasonable expectation is Nuggets 2-2, Lakers 2-1 and the swing game being Friday against Suns who will likely be locked into the 7th seed and have nothing to play for in that game.

I don't disagree. It matters. It's just interpretable HOW MUCH it matters. Oddly, many people from San Antonio don't feel it's important. Weird.

@HPbasketball I don’t think that your point is even controversial at all. It’s pretty obvious that injuries are less of a concern. They have won 51 games with guys out every single night. I’d say that most of these guys would’ve available if it was G1 of the WCF. They are load managing IMo

Do you REALLY deny how good the rest of that team is? LIke, honestly. Do you REALLY deny how great that team is all the way through? Can't it be that Shai is the best scoring guard since Jordan AND they are a true team champion through every facet of their organization? I want to PRAISE OKC, not diminish Shai. That's not the intent.

Denver plays LA-NYK (home back to back) OKC 3rd in 4 Houston-San Antonio (3rd in 4 SEGABABA, 5 games in 8 nights) And there are so many games like this among the contenders. Like, we want to showcase contenders in pre-playoff matchups and the league is like "OK, but what if everyone felt like shit for them"

A good way to think about the overpay for Orlando stuff... No one, on the planet, thinks Bane is better than KD. There is no way, or reason, for Orlando to send four picks and two movable veteran contracts for 36 year old KD on an expiring contract. KD is a LEGEND. Bane is an upper tier sub-star role player. But Bane was what Orlando needed. They gave the value of how much they needed him, not how good he is.
