"Lowstrat" was the fourth and last @CNES balloon flight of the #Stratoscience 2025 campaign. Dedicated to high clouds analysis (Basta & Becool) and aerosol concentrations (Stratopart & Loac-Pops) with @latmos_ipsl, we flew 15 hours between 20 and 13 km of altitude with @csa_asc .

Today, @cnes and @csa_asc performed a second balloon flight with solar cells experiment (Casolba) and measurements of concentration of atomic oxygen (Osas-B) in the stratosphere. More than 14 hours of flight in Ontario, between Timmins and Chapleau.

2 days ago, @CNES performed the first flight of the #Stratoscience balloon campaign from Timmins, Canada @csa_asc. The #Aircore flight profile incuded a slow descente between 33 km and 14 km. The main objective was measurements of greenhouse gases with quick helicopter recovery.

Implementation of a new stratospheric balloons base in Brasil: end of January 2025 in Toulouse, @cnes and @espacial_aeb approuved the location in Palmas (Tocantins) and the architecture of the buildings. Contruction work will begin soon !

Atmosfer is the third and last flight of the @CNES balloon campaign. With 12 experiments on board, the balloon will fly during more than 11 hours in a small circle of 100 km around the @SSC_Rockets Esrange base.

After 3 days and 17 hours, the @CNES TRANSAT balloon landed in Nunavut, on Baffin island close to Pond Inlet. The payload gondola is in a good state on a large ice cap. Recovery managed by @asc_csa is on going. @SSC_Rockets

Fourth and last flight of the 2023 @CNES Strato Science campaign from Timmins. The Pre-TRANSAT flight was a successful test before the real Transatlantic balloon flight next year between Sweden and North Canada, always in cooperation with @asc_csa.
