the uk is not real.
wanted to visit family in edinburgh for the bank holiday. i have a railcard, 30% off, should be fine? £200 return. for a train.
this country is beyond saving
@VoiceIslanderFn@EmmaRincon 10% is minimum for terrible service.
20% is normal.
25-30% is for outstanding service.
They brought me my meal. They didn't cook it. And they may not have even brought it to me.
I went to a steakhouse in Miami, paid the bill, and they automatically added a 20% tip.
When the waiter brought the check, he said: “That tip goes to the whole establishment—if you want to leave something for me, it’s extra.”
I didn’t add anything else—20% is already too much. He gave me a dirty look, like I was robbing him.
This tipping culture is out of control.
@leighkeystone I walked past my local today and briefly thought, I'll pop in for a 2-3 pints. Then I remembered 3 pints is about £20 and I could go in the Iceland next door and get 4 pint cans of Carslberg export for £5.80.
I'm not broke, but when it's £6 for 4 v's £20 for 3, it's a no brainer
The guy who owns our local chippy told me yesterday there’s no cod on the menu because wholesale prices are so high customers wouldn’t pay what he’d have to charge. What a country we now live in — a pint at the pub and even fish and chips are too expensive.
@BlightyAlm1ghty I read a book once where the crimes the person committed are played on a screen in front of them again and again. They are unable to look away or turn their head.
We need that. At the least.
This monster should be in prison for the rest of his life.
Chukwuemeka Ahanonu from Peckham was driving incredibly recklessly around Leicester in June 2025. He overturned the car. Nila Patel, a mother of two, saw the accident and got off the bus to help.
Ahanonu grabbed her from behind, punched her in the face so she fell to the floor and then continued to stamp on her and kick her, leaving her with brain damage. She died two days later.
This man should never have been on the streets.
In June 2023 he was given a suspended sentence after being found guilty of supplying drugs. His car was stopped in September 2023 and he was found to have drugs and a machete in his car. He was jailed for 24 months but was let out after less than a year.
When he was interviewed by the police he is seen laughing about the event. He has led an appalling life, claiming Universal Credit while running a drugs operation that brought him £10k per month.
He has been found guilty of murder and sentenced to 21.5 years. Let’s see how long he actually serves.
@BritishBastardX@BritishNewsUK_@BritifyUK They don't just help Jewish. Their community pays for them but they do help the local ambulances with anyone. These people are not the enemy.
@BritishBastardX@BritishNewsUK_@BritifyUK Yes - if people acted as a collective, we could. How you define English (residency? Passport? Heritage?) could be complicated. I've no issue with Jewish communities self funding services for themselves. My understanding is that these organizations do also help non Jewish
@SpursOfficial Stop gaslighting fans.
You don't give a fuck.
Invest in the squad properly or fuck off.
This isn't a player issue, it's an ownership and board issue.

@AvonandsomerRob@BazaritoDorito It got to 13% largely because of the ERM debacle. I'm guessing you're under 30? Research your arguments before deploying them :)
@BazaritoDorito It got to 13% after the Iraq War. People will always want to own a home but it would be very foolish to max on a mortgage with rates set to sky rocket.
Shotout to people who got a fixed rate mortgage at 5% or less before the Iran War.
ITV reporting rates could be at 7% by Summer if the conflict isn't resolved.
Is anyone still on a tracker?
