Really solid up & coming Catcher in 2028 @BrodyAbernathy of @gcsbaseball1 Versatile (worked out at C/3B/2B), but what stood out most were his lightning-fast Pop Times: 1.93-2.00. Very fast transfers, gets rid of it so quickly as his C velo is only 72-73 mph. Loved the receiving work, blocks up very well (glove finds the ball in many cases). Swung it well in BP and in Live ABs, max EV 89, avg of 85. Loads up, good hip action, violence in the swing. If he's hitting it, the versatility will help him find the line up as he was high motor in the infield. Working on body control will help with consistency. 5'8" 167, 4.07 GPA, interest in studying Business. Plays for Coach @LoweryDevon at GCS, plays for @WFCharlotte in Summer
