I think we are all asking the wrong questions... it shouldn't be "does skill based damage exist" The question should be "why are we as players of all skill levels feeling inconsistencies in our gunfights" this way we don't get an Activsion lawyer approved statement like "there's nothing behind the scenes modifying any of our damage values." Here's some questions I'd love to see addressed: 1. When two players shoot at the same time, how does the server decide which shots are valid and under what conditions would a player’s shots appear to hit but not be fully counted by the server? 2. How does the system ensure fairness between players with drastically different ping values? 3. Can lag compensation change which bullets are ultimately applied in a gunfight? 4. Why does Call of Duty not provide a detailed per-bullet damage recap like other FPS games and will you provide per-bullet hit and damage logs so players can verify gunfight outcomes? Also if damage and hit registration are consistent, what is the reason for not making that data publicly available? 5. Why was detailed lobby and stat API access restricted when it previously existed and do you plan to restore transparency tools that allow independent verification of matchmaking and gameplay consistency?
