I today received £1037.52 from Castore/Umbro for our commission over the last 6 months. Tonight we have donated £700 to seven charities or fundraisers on behalf of the Rangers support £100 each going to Gary Ralston Rangers Charity Foundation Rangers Benevolent Fund McMillan Cancer charity Back onside AMMF charity Andys Mans Club The £337.52 left will be donated to Glasgow Cash for kids (Website doesn’t seem to be working so will call tomorrow £187.52) And also Scampanddude which is a charity that donates teddies to little children who have lost loved ones in hospitals. They will also get £150. (Doesn’t seem to let you donate so have contacted them) (I will post confirmation when done) That will complete all the commission in full going to charity. I don’t post for praise, but for complete clarity as this is what I always promised and couldn’t do it without you guys using codes etc. Thanks for all your help and thank you for helping all these charities

Rivalry aside, Brian was a decent player. He went up in my estimations when he spoke out about the racism and bigotry that pours from the stands in ibrox in his 2014 interview. He detested the fanbase but was professional enough to play through it.

@Bobmcphail1872 100% our biggest failure after 55 was not selling players when they were at the peak, that money would have went a long way to reinvestment in the squad and off setting the money to be paid, but I had it in my head king was still around the club at that time

I'm forever grateful to Dave King, his place in our history is assured, but I don't agree with his dig about post 55 ambitions. In March 2020 we had player liabilities due to be paid of over £25m, this coincided with Dave King leaving, and my understanding (and I'm happy to be corrected) was that the remaining investor/directors and especially Park and Bennett picked up the slack and saw it through to 55 being achieved. I don't agree entirely with the “failure to build on 55” narrative due to the fact there was (in my opinion) a need to get sensible given the huge outlay to that point and the massive covid impact – if you want a reason for the lack of spend in 21/22 personally I'd blame the disastrous Malmo result, which our squad and Gerrard should have really navigated. As I say, happy to hear alternative views.
