Last year, Ofsted opened over 1,000 investigations into suspected unregistered children’s homes, and more than 900 were confirmed to be operating illegally. This is a national scandal, and this is why I do what I do. Every child deserves safe, lawful, and properly regulated care.

Unbelievably, it appears local authorities are still commissioning services from the people behind the former Great Minds Together. The company now operates under the name Thriving Futures (GMT) Limited.

It's est. that 1 in 10 children in care are reported missing in England every year. Even more alarming, is that the #UKgovernment can't provide any data on how many of these children are never found again. Deeply upsetting to see another act of vandalism, this time Lord Balfour's portrait at Trinity College. Advocacy and protest are vital parts of democracy, but this is criminal destruction of our culture and history, perhaps mandatory sentences might make these thugs reconsider.

Congratulations to Bromley Council who has recently recived an outstanding report from #Ofsted such a shame that only the failures seem to attract wider media attention. Its important that their learning is made avaliable to other LA who are struggling. #GoodNews
