@Mikiashvili_New I mentioned this in the comments under the original post, and I’ll say it here too: 99% of the “Russians” in these statistics are ethnic Georgians from Russia who are regaining citizenship by birthright because one of their parents was or is a Georgian citizen.

26K Russians got the Georgian nationality between 2015-2025 Only 290 Iranians got Georgian nationality in the same time period Fereydan Georgians have been complaining how it's near impossible to get Georgian nationality. Explain to me why Russians are getting it so easily

@LukaTheIberian I don’t dispute that Fereydana need more support. It’s just that I don’t think anyone is deliberately standing in their way. Besides, returnees from Russia also often face constant rejections. I know this from the experiences of many people I know.

@Lu8rM8rn Fereydans has it notoriously way harder to get Georgian nationality even if they've lived in Georgia for some time. I just find it very unfortunate for them and not right we're prioritising Russians

@LukaTheIberian As far as I know, the only way to obtain citizenship on a large scale is if one of your parents held it. The other options are exceptions tied to either significant investments or something. Based on this, we can conclude that these are primarily ethnic Georgians.

@LukaTheIberian + second, they have close relatives and real estate in Georgia (which gives them a significant advantage in obtaining citizenship), and, third, there are more of them. I don’t see any malicious intent here, just indifference.

TRT reports that half of Ossetia’s male population of working age is fighting for Russia in Ukraine—that’s more than 45,000. At least 1,300 have been reported KIA. Dressing newborn babies in military caps is nauseating in itself, but in an environment where men are drafted and pulled into the meat grinder so disproportionately, it’s beyond hypocrisy.

А еще Россия имеет возможность тупо отжимать у Абхазии территорию под свои нужды, как было недавно с участком в Пицунде, например. Еще какие-то признаки вспомнить?

У них стоят ваши базы, и основная цель их существования — роль перманентного российского рычага давления на Грузию и Кавказ в целом.
