The outage was caused by a cable fault and it affects Customers in Blackheath, Northriding, and surroundings.

The planned maintenance at Noordwyk Substation, which is affecting the areas mentioned above is still underway. The estimated time of restoration (ETR) is still 17h00 provided everything goes accordingly.^MJ

Panorama Switching Station (Weltebredenpark and surrounding areas): Supply has been restored up to 65%.
For now, Jim Fouche Road, Constantia Square, Bontebok Avenue, Bontebok, Duiker Street, Panorama View, Park Avenue, Duiker Street No 2, Monte Christo, Kudu No 3, Kudu No 1, Kudu, Westwood Office, Kudu No 2, Diamond Acres, Wedgewood, Berasight, IC Nissan Van Vuuren Street and Van Vuuren No 3 will remain off until the load settles.
Operators will remain on site and restore each distributor when the load settles.
Please be patient as our team works towards resolving this outage.

Operators are aware that some areas did not restore following the are wide outage affecting customers feeding from Roodetown, Kloofendaal, Ontdekkers, Nursery, Florida North, Peter Road Substations.
One team remains on site monitoring the load affecting areas such as Wilgeheuwel and surrounds while the other team is investigating areas such as Weltevredenpark that did not restore.
The initial outage was caused by faults on the 88kV double circuit overhead lines.

Panorama Switching Station( (Allen's Nek, Weltevreden Park, and possible surrounding areas):
The cable between Jim Fouché and Panorama Switching Station has been identified with an open circuit on the blue phase, approximately 50m from the station.The team is currently assessing the fault and will commence with the necessary repairs.
A fault has been located on the line between Monti Christo and Kudo No. 3. The identified fault must be repaired in order to enable back-feeding of affected load centres.
Restoration efforts will continue once repairs are completed and network stability is confirmed.
Affected customers will be kept informed as more information becomes available.

STAGE 2 LOADSHEDDING IMPLEMENTED FROM 16:00 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
City Power wishes to inform customers that Stage 2 loadshedding has been implemented from 16:00 today and will remain in effect until 05:00 tomorrow 25th April 2025, following the announcement made by the national power utility - Eskom.^RM
