@d_linkski I am not sure if you are the right man to poke, but a few years back, a Warframe update purged many duplicate assets from the game. Corpus lockers were included. I have noticed that there are many assets since then that could use the same treatment. Asteroid base etc.

Check out the Excalibur Luminary helmet! Concept and sculpt by me; topology and texture work by the wonderful @BlazingCobalt

@Lua_Luminary @rebbford Agreed. I was taking my brother in law through the game and making every effort to not spoil all the cool stuff that comes later, but random folks in relays and region chat really make it hard to keep a new player unspoiled.
English

@rebbford Is it possible to get a toggle that defaults the appearance of other Warframes/equipment? It would also be good to have a toggle that makes certain player story characters (avoiding spoilers here) invisible. I think it would be a good feature to have to avoid spoilers.
English

@br0sine I have reduced my social media footprint. I am active here.

@lolsmanor69 @Lua_Luminary PREACH, brother
Unfortunately our similarities might stop there because I think things got a lot worse way before 1999, possibly starting with New War
English

Not a fan of protoframes, even as a one-off for 1999. That said, if they absolutely HAD to have been made, they make more sense as a one time thing. The continuous implementation of protoframes in new content is corrosive to game's tone and identity. The dating is also dreck.
br0sine Cool@br0sine
Warframe 1999 should have been its own game. Not only to not give Warframes pretty human faces (imo, a mistake) but also so that DE could've fleshed out the very interesting world you get pulled into. But of course, the main concern would be that it wouldn't be profitable.
English

@MonsterGirlLove KIM is a good idea, in concept. It would be a nice system if it worked with all factions as a way to get some new lore and rewards. As a dating simulator, it is very lame and IMO, misplaced.
English

@Lua_Luminary My big annoyance is the KIM system is not implemented well at all. Especially when they have people "interrupt" you like it's a spoken conversation. And having the reset be diegetic instead of purely there for gameplay screws with a lot of things IMO.
English

@Lua_Luminary Being a Founder and having played since 2013, they're a big reason I don't feel a desire to play alongside how strange the lore has gotten with time.
English

@Crudescent Tell me you lack critical thinking skills without telling me.
English

@Lua_Luminary Damn these claims are pathetic asf. They do not, in any way, damage shit. Youre just another kid that would be happy if Warframe didnt update at all. "I dont want new shit, I want to play the same game for decades".
English

@itdragsbehindme I understand that they make money for Digital Extremes. However, if I had the reigns over creative direction, lets just say I would pursue other things.
English

@Lua_Luminary Yea i can see that it’s good for content creation but after the quest tone shift overall i kinda started to care less
English

@Lua_Luminary it is like a limited edition ride, its fun when it drops but its not something i would make my main attraction
English

@Kogarashi_44 They work better as a limited group (1999 update). Although I still do not personally like them in that context, I would have less to say about it if they remained unique.
English

@Lua_Luminary i hate to say that i agree with this but i really do, in a vacuum it was really cool for that quest, the constant varients feels weird, i dont HATE them but they also just arent as amazing as they seem
English

@DreamOnStardust I actively dislike this, but I have been playing since 2012 and miss the more grounded vibe. I am not saying to gut the system, but dodge-roll and bullet jump having a VERY similar (if not identical) displacement is just redundant and weird. Roll needs a slight reduction, IMO.
English

@Lua_Luminary Roll distance is affected by parkour speed. I bullet jump>glide>roll as for movement tech to fly all over the place.
English

@lolsmanor69 I have been with you the whole time, brother. 🗣️🗣️🗣️
English

@efrndzz I understand this point of view, but I think they undercut the established direction of the game.
English

@Lua_Luminary I like protoframes cause it gives the frames an identity and personality to them. Each one is unique in their own way and I enjoy having a batch of human characters in a game like this. It makes me feel somehow human characters = more MMO feel to the game if that makes sense
English

@glitch_angels Small steps can place you at the top of a mountain eventually, as long as they are continuous and in the direction of the peak. My issue here is with a noticeable trend.
English

@Lua_Luminary I think saying it's a mistake is a bit of an extreme there, like I can understand your dislike towards it all but it's not harming the game, there's been answers to questions people had on minor/Major things of Warframe lore for years. And the whole dating is optional.
English

@qelaay This makes a lot of sense. As far as content Islands go, I have some bad news for you about Warframe.
English

@Lua_Luminary I love the protoframes (mainly 1999) and i agree, they are adding too much of them.
I much rather they focus on older characters or move forward w the storyline of the 1999 cast (this could still happen) instead of turning them into a content island that just loops forever
