Here are some fun facts about this episode: Music from Lucario and the Mystery of Mew and Jirachi: Wish Maker are used as background music. 4Kids background music is used in this episode. Rhonda of Sinnoh Now narrates the preview for the next episode. When Meowth makes the comment that he can smell honey and that he has a nose, this (along with Got Miltank?) contradicts many episodes, including Pokémon Scent-sation! and A Secret Sphere of Influence! where he, Jessie, and James say he doesn't have a nose. Here are some fun facts about this episode: Morrison is revealed to have earned his eighth Badge and own a Swampert, a Girafarig, a Steelix, a Growlithe, and a Gligar.The episode's English dub title references the saying "saved by the bell". A later episode has the same basis for its title. Meowth is briefly animated as a CGI model when Tyson's Meowth insults him as "a pathetic embarrassment to Meowths [sic] everywhere." Advance Adventure and music from Mewtwo Strikes Back are used. While training, Ash's Corphish wears the bandana it wore in the Pikachu Short Pikachu's Summer Festival. Here are some fun facts about this episode: Meowth uses something that looks similar to a Nunchuk, an extension of the Wii Remote, to control the robotic hand they use to try and catch Mothim. Ash narrates the preview for the next episode. The episode's English dub title is a pun on the phrase "The grass is always greener on the other side", which can be abbreviated to "the grass is always greener". This is one of the few episodes of Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl where Dawn's Piplup does not appear. Staravia's Aerial Ace misses Turtwig, even though the move is unavoidable, while Turtwig is affected by Leech Seed, which normally has no effect on Grass types. Here are some fun facts about this episode: The English dub title is commonly interpreted by fans to reference Eminem's hit song "The Real Slim Shady"; however, the line used in that song and in the dub title actually originated from the well-known game show To Tell The Truth. The plot of this episode may have been inspired by the Imposter Professor Oak card from the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This is the third time a member of Team Rocket has addressed Ash or one of his friends by name. This time, while disguised as DJ Mary, Jessie refers to Brock by name. The first time was in Electric Shock Showdown, and the second time was in Fire and Ice. As with most level-up learnsets, Slowbro's has changed since Generation II, when this episode was created and aired, making the first answer no longer correct: Slowbro only learns Amnesia at level 46 during Generation II or in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. This is the first episode in which James disguised himself as Professor Oak; the second time was in A Faux Oak Finish!. I enjoyed his appearance here, just wish he appeared more in his "own" series. Here are some fun facts about this episode: Vigoroth is the first Generation III Pokémon featured in the Who's That Pokémon? eyecatch. This is the first animated series appearance of Steven. In this episode, he is not mentioned to be the Champion, instead being a strong Trainer. Steven did not appear again in the animated series until Mega Evolution Special II, 11 years later. When Max asks Meowth how he is able to talk, the latter starts going through his backstory from Go West Young Meowth, including flashing back to his former love interest from the same episode. Although the animated series switched to digital animation in Here's Lookin' at You, Elekid, the flashback of Meowth meeting Meowzie still uses hand-colored cel animation. In the French dub of this episode, Steven is referred to by his English name rather than his French name, Pierre, due to the fact that this name is shared with Brock. The dub would eventually go back to using his French name during his appearances in Pokémon the Series: XY, due to Brock being absent from that series. In this episode, Metapod and Kakuna's Evolution processes are depicted as their shells cracking and their evolved forms emerging, leaving behind an empty carapace, similar to real-life insects' emergence from pupation. In later episodes, however, Metapod and Kakuna are shown to evolve like any other Pokémon.
