Call for research participants! Do you suffer from back pain and depressive symptoms? We are recruiting participants for a clinical trial in Hamburg to investigate the effect of osteopathic treatment on comorbid depressive symptoms in patients with chronic low back pain.

Taken together, the study was feasible and HFP improved HRV in stressed subjects with musculoskeletal pain, suggesting a parasympathetic effect. An adequately powered randomised controlled trial is needed to scrutinize these findings. 6/6

HFP significantly increased the HRV parameters RMSSD, SDNN, and LF/HF, whereas both HFP and SHAM significantly decreased the heart rate but did not significantly change the stress index and SD2/SD1. 5/6
