@G2Worlds Riot claims they have banned 4 million botted accounts. Game isn't dead yet. Smurfs won't quit, they're so hooked they need to noob stomp to chase the dragon.

@Lucid_Druid I can tell you for a fact that Riot has always been banning botted accs, but they can’t ban every bought acc and they haven’t either. But more bans means more smurfs in your games btw. Or they quit the game and then the game will die out. It’s really lose-lose.

Realistically, Riot should sell accs that are ready for ranked, make them play 10 games to adjust rank accordingly. Because people buy accs either way and Riot could charge 50 Euro for an acc rdy to play ranked. And then use those money to grow the esport scene, thank you.

@Wickdlol True I agree with this. I just see a lot of analysis pointing to Riot needing to invest in their stream, but no matter what they do people want to see how the costreamer reacts to it. So long as sponsors are fine with the costreamer model I don't see the problem.

@Lucid_Druid Incorporate co streams more, put certain restrictions to ensure Co streamers watch all advertisement in full and with sound. Fill extra restrictions if absolutely necessary (less is more) Once that's done. Who cares if Co streams do better

@humzhlol React content is just more popular than the content and there's very little Riot can do that will make anyone prefer the main broadcast.

It’s insane how costreamers like Caedrel / Dom are being scapegoated for the sins of Riot, the orgs, and the pros themselves. Caedrel and Dom have objectively done so much good for the scene. People are flaming costreamers without acknowledging the fundamental truth that fans will always go where the personality is. That personality is currently missing from the official broadcasts and the pro players themselves. The official product is boring. As a counter example LR was insanely successful because people got to know and love each of the players as human beings with unique personalities through their individual streams. People want to feel connection. Nowadays most pros don't even stream? I haven’t been a huge fan of a team since LR / TSM. There used to be passion / story behind the players and tweets and streams that gave a window into their lives outside of games. These days I never really watch pro play anymore unless a streamer were to costream it. The insights costreamers give are far more useful than what any caster gives because they are genuinely more knowledgeable about the game. I learned a lot from LS from LCK pro games back when he used to co stream and same goes for Dom on LPL games. Instead of misdirecting hate at costreamers, fix the product. Bring back passion and personality 😤
