@DominicRaab is a qualified solicitor.
Yet is apparently unaware that solicitors can *already* qualify to perform Crown Court advocacy.
And for some reason thinks solicitors would happily work in the conditions that have forced barristers to strike.

I am a lawyer specialising in social security litigation and I am surprised by significant inaccuracy what DWP seem privately to have told the independent enquiry into JR. DWP said they have fought 73 JR cases at a substantive hearing since 2018/19, and lost just 5 of them.
